- What do you specialize in?
- What type of positions do you place?
- What are your fees?
- What is your geography?
A talented sales person can easily span industries; my searches have a broad horizontal span across a variety of businesses. Clients understand that a good recruiter can match skill sets with jobs, even if the candidate is outside of their industry.
In certain circumstances, clients are looking for a person with experience in their specific industry, which is when the specialization is particularly helpful.
Here is a partial list of some of the industries I have experience:
- Telecommunications
- Software
- IT/Computer
- SaaS
- Capital Equipment
- Leasing
- Storage Hardware/Networks
- Industrial
- General Business
- Printing
- Advertising Sales
- Distribution
- Vice President of Sales
- National Sales Manager
- Regional Vice President
- District Sales Manager
- National Account Manager
- Major Account Representative
- Sales Representative
- Inside Sales Representative
- Sales Engineer
- Account Manager
Each project is unique and at Janus Corporate Partners, we negotiate payment model and fees based on many specific characteristics of the search:
1) What is the level of urgency to hire the position?2) What is the position level within the company?
3) What other sources and processes is the client utilizing to fill the position?
4) Does the candidate exist in the market?
5) Do the specifications of the job match the predetermined candidate pool background requirements?
The payment model defines in part, the level of the relationship between the recruiter and the client.
Contingent: The most common payment model – total payment due only if a business relationship is established between the client and a Janus Corporate Partners referred candidate. This level carries a 30-day replacement guarantee.
Other payment models that can be considered include:
Retained: This model is typically for Executive level positions, or large projects where the client has beyond normal expectations such as travel, formal written reports on activity, etc. The payment terms for this model are: 1/3 of the fee is paid in order to start the search. 1/3 is paid halfway through the project. And the final 1/3 is paid upon hire of the candidate. This level carries a 1-year replacement guarantee.
Con-tained (part contingent, part retained) – This is a great option when the client feels complete confidence in the recruiter’s ability to find the right candidates and bring them through process to hire, and wants to ensure his project is a top priority for the recruiter. The payment terms for this model are: A portion of fee is paid up front to start the search, and the remainder paid when a business relationship begins between the client and the Janus Corporate Partners referred candidate. This level carries a 90-day replacement guarantee.
Back to topNinety percent of my placements are regionally focused in the upper Midwest. I have a vast network of trusted affiliates with whom I’ve worked across the US to find qualified candidates for my clients. In some instances I may refer clients to other recruiters.
